Artificial Turf

Problem: Not enough sunlight to support a healthy lawn and plantings

Solution: Our client wanted to have a backyard to enjoy with their friends, family, and dogs. The heavy tree canopy makes it very difficult to have a healthy lawn and the list is short of shade tolerant blooming perennials and shrubs. Groundcovers and mulch would be a maintenance nightmare since the entire tree canopy consists of Live Oaks.

Our client wanted to keep the fountain, deck, patio, and bench so we incorporated those features to blend with the new landscape. We installed a dry creek with boulder accents for the rain water to flow through the property. The pathway made of Oklahoma slabs and river rock invites visitors to meander through the garden and creates a border for the artificial lawn.

We introduced pops of color with the use of decorative pots, garden art, and textiles. Just for fun we created intimate sitting areas to stop and listen to the birds and the water feature.
